Your AI-written content now has a hidden signature. Starting September 9, Anthropic is embedding an invisible watermark inside everything Claude Opus 5 produces. Not a visible tag, not extra characters tacked on the end. A statistical pattern woven into the word choices themselves. You'd never see it reading the output, but software built to detect it can. Anthropic is doing this to comply with the EU AI Act's transparency rules, and they say the watermark carries zero information about you or your conversations. No change to pricing, no change to API format, no added latency. But if you use Claude for customer-facing copy, proposals, or you've built a product on top of the API, this is now part of your compliance picture, especially if any of your customers are in Europe. Other Claude models will follow over the coming weeks with advance notice each time. Read Anthropic's full explanation here.

ChatGPT is becoming a real third place to run your ads. OpenAI's Ads Manager plugin is live and expanding. You describe your website or campaign brief in plain language and it builds ready-to-launch ads, creates variants, and reviews performance. This week the platform opened up to select countries in Europe, India, the Middle East, and North Africa. They also added the ability to update custom audiences without starting from scratch, launched carousel ad reporting, and improved how total budgets pace over a campaign. If you've ever felt squeezed between Google's complexity and Meta's constantly changing rules, it's worth knowing there's now a third self-serve option that lets you manage campaigns the way you'd write a text message. See what's live at ads.openai.com.
