If you are running four or five disconnected dashboards, there is now a tool built specifically for that problem. JARS Digital launched CairnMetrics, an AI dashboard for small and mid-sized businesses that pulls marketing, sales, finance, and operations data into one screen and surfaces prioritized alerts. No enterprise contract. No IT team. The pitch is simple: stop toggling between Google Analytics, your CRM, QuickBooks, and a spreadsheet to figure out what actually needs your attention today. The AI does the triage. Worth watching if the "five tabs open at 8am" routine is eating your mornings. (This, BTW, is actually not that hard to build with AI yourself. Excel is getting a brain, and QuickBooks just got a credit card. Forbes contributor Gene Marks put together a useful roundup this week, and a few items are worth your attention. Microsoft's Copilot in Excel is moving past "insert a chart" territory into actual plain-language data reasoning. You type a question, it thinks through your numbers and answers. No formula required. Intuit launched a business credit card that syncs expenses directly into QuickBooks in real time, which means no more end-of-month receipt archaeology. The one that caught my eye, though, is Anthropic's new "Record a Skill" feature in Claude. You demonstrate a repetitive workflow on screen, Claude watches, and then it can run that workflow for you going forward. That's not a chatbot. That's closer to hiring a junior assistant who learns by shadowing you. The full Forbes rundown is here.

There's also a less exciting but genuinely important point buried in the same piece: experts are telling businesses to redesign their websites so AI agents can read and act on them. Not pretty for humans. Readable for bots that are increasingly making purchasing decisions on behalf of humans. If your site is a wall of images and JavaScript, agents can't parse it. ·        TouchGrass: Context-aware break reminders for macOS that pause during meetings and calls and count time away from your Mac as a real break. For solo operators who ignore every generic timer app because the timing is always wrong.

·        Anthropic published new labor market data showing computer programmers face 74.5% automation exposure by their hybrid metric, which measures actual automation of economically valuable tasks, not just AI assistance. More immediately, recent college graduates aged 22 to 27 are seeing unemployment near 6%, above the national rate.
